ZipFlex Purfling, Blue Paua Abalone

ZipFlex makes it easy to install beautiful purfling that bends to any curve, thanks to its flexible base.
Blue Paua Abalone ZipFlex is made from real shell.
Size: each strip measures 15” in length, and is .055” thick (.050” shell thickness + .005” substrate thickness); select from two widths: .047” and .079”.
Blue Paua is a variety of Paua shell hand-selected for its vibrant blue tones.
* please note, the color and pattern of genuine shell products vary slightly from piece to piece.
When gluing these, use the thinnest viscosity cyanoacrylate (superglue) you can find. Seal the edges of your inlay channel with vinyl or lacquer sealer before applying the glue to prevent glue from wicking into the end grain of your project surface.
